TenantCloud, a leading property management software platform, launched a new Utility Service feature to improve the utility setup process for tenants. Developed in partnership with Utility Wallet, this feature allows renters to connect and track specific utilities directly through their TenantCloud account.

It also gives property managers the ability to receive confirmation that a tenant’s services are activated, eliminating the need for constant involvement.

Utility Service is designed to improve the move-in experience for tenants, alleviating the headaches that renters and property managers often experience during utility setup.

Tenants can search, compare, and connect to internet providers based on their rental address, ensuring service is ready before move-in.

Property managers can automatically provide tenants with a recommended list of utility providers, reducing the hassle of finding last-minute services. Property managers can receive confirmation when tenants have set up services, which means fewer follow-ups and greater oversight.

TenantCloud’s technology-first approach to utility setup aims to help prevent issues like unpaid utility bills or service disruptions which can lead to costly problems down the road.

“One of the pain points for landlords is having to foot the utility bill when utilities are not connected properly,” said Mark DeHaan, CEO of TenantCloud.

“By offering this service, we’re making it easier for landlords and tenants to have total transparency without the added work.”

Utility Service is now available for anyone using the TenantCloud platform. Property managers can set up this feature for tenants when creating or editing their leases in TenantCloud.
